I think you may have used the word beach too often. You should print out your story and read through it and highlight every single word beach. Sometimes when you said beach you could have used other terms. For example "I stood on my beach..." Change it too something like "I stood at the edge of the water, my toes squishing in the sand..etc" something like that. A beach is a beautiful place that you could use a lot of description with. I would suggest maybe googling images of beaches. Or if you live near one go down there with a pen and paper and write. Also, don't forget about all the elements when you are describing the beach. (the sand, the sky, the clouds, the wind, the sun, the suns rays, etc.) You have a great story idea. Good luck :) I hope I helped!
